Welcome to California: A Place To Get Stoned
This is the case of California, now that marijuana will be legalized in 2018. There is big talk about a town located in the Mohave desert called Nipton in the middle of California, it is about an hour drive from Las Vegas and about 3 hours from Los Angeles. This spot is known for its roots in gold and silver mining. The number of inhabitants living in this ghost town is 12. The entire town of 120 acres was bought out on by American Green Inc a marijuana focused technology and growing firm based off of Arizona. The town was sold for $5 million. American Green plans are to make the entire county “the first energy dependent, cannabis-friendly hospitality destination”.
American Green had initially focused on simply producing cannabis-infused water in that land. The production of cannabis edibles and the growth of plants won’t stay far behind in the next 18 months, 2.5 million development time frame. Many visitors will have the opportunity to find marijuana retail outlets, lodging, mineral baths, and a first of its kind tourism experience for cannabis users.
Recreational marijuana will be legal in California in 2018, and it has been already legalized in Nevada this year. This is great news for those traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, since they are going to be a spot to stop and load up on your favorite cannabis products. Although cannabis business is blooming now that the cannabis laws are much more flexible, cannabis is still illegal according to the federal law.
